Cordless Lamps in New Styles and Finishes from Modern Lantern

We're proud to introduce two brand new cordless lamps to our inventory, Oliver and Elaine! As well as two new finishes in our most popular ceramic cordless lamp design, the Bartlett, now available in Spa and Sage.

Oliver

Oliver is a large ceramic cordless table lamp in a mid-century modern style. Mid-century modern refers to the time period between the mid 1930s to the mid 1960s, and is largely influenced by the Bauhaus style. The Bauhaus art school in Germany in the mid 1930s focussed of functionality over aesthetics, this minimalist style flowed seamlessly into the modern movement in the 1940s as a wave of technological advances led to the production of new materials and quickly changed industries such as architecture and graphic design. Oliver is available in Ivory, and on Brass, Black, or Nickel, is 17 inches in diameter and stands 27 inches tall.

Elaine

Elaine is a beautiful blue and white Chinese qinghua inspired porcelain cordless lamp. Traditionally qinghua is white porcelain hand painted under the glaze in ornate patterns with blue pigment, generally cobalt oxide. Modern versions of this style are typically stencilled or transfer-printed onto the porcelain. Elaine is also available on Brass, Black, or Nickel, is 15 inches in diameter and stands 26.5 inches tall.

In addition to these two new lamps, our popular Bartlett ceramic cordless table lamp is now available in two new glaze colors.

Spa

Sage

Both new colors of the Bartlett are available on Brass, Black, or Nickel.
