Why Hospitality Designers Are Choosing Modern Lantern for Luxury Restaurant Lighting

Design comes first and all of our mini cordless lamps at Modern Lantern uniquely stand out from other manufacturers and resellers. We only offer designs that we create, from the ground up, with fine dining in mind. Our designs add to the atmosphere by using beautiful, warm materials such as distressed or antiqued brass, alabaster looks in both glass and marble, and real fabric shades. Staying far away from novelty and also keeping away from overly simple or harsh contemporary looks, our exclusive designs suite dining atmospheres with a more classic even vintage feel. The lamp becomes part of the design rather than just an afterthought.

As the lead designers on our lamps, we carefully considered how both staff and the guest would interact with our product. Our commercial lamps all come with two removable battery packs to make sure the lamps stay on the table where they should and always have the ability to stay lit when needed. We felt so strongly about this concept that we filed and received a patent on this technology. Our battery packs clicks out from under the lamp, very easily and very concealed. The staff member can simply click a freshly charged pack in its place. The lamps do not need to be moved to the back of the house, ever, which keeps it from getting damaged and no bulky or expensive charging carts are required. The staff only has to remove the battery and take them to the back of the house to be charged. We also carry 4-way charger that can charge up to 4 packs only using one outlet, and all in all takes up very little space.

Also considered in the product's design is the importance of performance time. All of our lamps are on a more powerful 12 volt platform and our battery packs are quite powerful for their small size. On a full charge, the lamp can stay on for days on low and even up to 18 hours at full strength. You don't have to charge the lamps every day, so that saves time to maintain them and we carry spare parts for all of our products. Think of our lamps as an investment, not a novelty throw away after a year of use.

Interacting with our lamps is a positive experience for the dining guests too. The lamps are heavy and very stable and they have a simple touch sensitive switch where you can easily adjust the brightness needed or wanted for dining. Set very low for a moody ambiance or touch it twice to increase the output to read the menu. Our lamps come with an adjustable LED temperature switch to also easily match the designers other choice in lighting for the restaurant. All the options are on the warm side going from 2700K all the way to a super warm 2100K. Perfect to match the atmospheres at hand.

Finally to a design firm specifying these lamps, we strive to be in stock and carry deep quantities and we have been doing so for over a decade. Modern Lantern has a dedicated staff (a real person) to help you and the restaurant order the lamps as well as maintain them for years of use and operation. So what started as an attractive lamp to suite the fine dining environment also feels like a luxury brand you are dealing with during, and after installation. We pride ourselves in taking care of our customers, both residential and commercial, for years. At Modern Lantern the owners/founders are both designers, so we start everything with YOU in mind.
