This year, we had the pleasure of contributing to a big cause in the big apple! One of our cordless lamps was featured in a beautiful design by Kirsten Yadouga for the annual event. Design on a Dime is put on by Housing Works to raise funds to end AIDS and homelessness.
This year’s event was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in downtown Manhattan. Sixty designers filled the venue with a huge variety of unique designs. Each one put together their own vignette with furniture, art, and accessories supplied by generous donors. Vignettes were then sold to attendees to raise proceeds for this awesome cause.
Kirsten Yadouga’s design was a really fun mix of patterns, colors, and vibrant art. Her look showcased a variety of textures and patterns. Everywhere you look, there’s something else interesting to capture your attention. Our Bartlett lamp fit in well. Because it’s cordless, Kirsten was able to move it around freely and switch up her design during set up without every having to worry about hiding cords, running an extension, or finding an outlet.
Every detail in Kirsten’s design was specific but also created an eclectic and effortless look that was apparent through her whole vignette. Kirsten nailed the organized eclectic look we all would love! It was glamorous as well as welcoming.
Here’s a quick shot of the Bartlett Black Cordless lamp in Kirsten’s design right before she finished up her complete design. It’s a nice mid-century modern touch to this look!
Before the show, we got a sneak peek of other outstanding designs being assembled. This is Elle Decor’s vignette. They features this beautiful baby blue with white and neutral pieces and accessories.
Another standout was Nick Olsen’s vignette. It’s such a unique naturally-influenced look we absolutely loved.
Another favorite was KAKAR House of Design’s “Versailles Deco Dreams”. It’s the ultimate mix of patterns, art, and time periods. Incredible!
The show turned out incredibly, with some unique work of the country’s top designers all under the same roof. Thank you to Kirsten and the Housing Network for getting us on board with this show! We’re looking forward to doing more in the future.
