Color Crush- Benjamin Moore's Shadow

The color trends are in full effect now that it is 2017! Benjamin Moore's color of the year is Shadow, and we have come up with a few products and design ideas that can help you incorporate this beautiful hue of purple into your space, so you can stay on trend without redesigning your whole space.

“It ebbs and flows with its surroundings, and light brings it to life. Rich, royal amethyst can fade into the soft lilac-grey of distant mountains or morph into lustrous coal. Indulge your mysterious side. Let Shadow set the mood.”
—Ellen O’Neill, Benjamin Moore Creative Director

The Alma Pillow from The Citizenry is a pillow with a purpose. The Citizenry works with artisans all over the world to create handmade, quality products, while staying in a fair trade environment. This pillow was made in Lima, Peru. It is a simple way to add the color of the year to your living space or bedroom, and the geometric pattern gives it a modern flare.

The Frankie Chair from West Elm is an easy way to add this deep purple color into your space. This simple look adds a pop of color and accent in a bedroom or living room. Stay on trend without having to change your whole room.

Nothing better than a cashmere throw to snuggle up with on the couch! This Cashmere Throw in Moonlit Violet is from Williams-Sonoma. Drape this over your favorite chair or your sofa, and there you have it- an affordable way to bring this year's color trend into your space.

A dramatic wallpaper can really make a statement in your room. This Floreale- Damson Wallpaper from Designers Guild is a beautiful print that can act as art in your room. The color contrasts nicely with the light color of the peonies.

Interior Designer Bobbi Edwards put together a whole blog about Benjamin Moore's color of the year for 2017. We loved this living room she showcased of using the color Shadow on the walls. It gives the room an eclectic look with all the other gold finishes in the space.

Modern Lantern's Bartlett Ivory Brass Cordless Lamp would work nicely with the new color crush of the year. The brass finish pairs nicely with the deep purple color, and lightens the space.
